I've already done quite a bit of reading regarding all the issues people have had with godaddy hosting and contact form plugins, but the solutions haven't resolved my issue.
I built a site on my development server which is on 1and1 shared hosting. used contact form 7 plugin which I use often and it works flawlessly as always. Finished the site, migrated it to my client's hosting service which is godaddy.
As soon as I did that the contact form stopped working. It shows the spinning icon indicating that its working, but nothing ever happens.
So I did some reading, and decided to try the fast secure contact form plugin which I've read works on godaddy. When I try to send email using that plugin, it seems to be stuck in the same position, although I get no indication that its working, it just redirects to mysite.com/contact/#FSContact1. There's a feature in that plugin allowing you to have a test email sent to an address you specify. I can do that, and it will come through.
I then went back to my development version on 1and1 and installed fast secure contact form, which worked just fine from there as well.
I've called godaddy and went through the motions with their tech support who said there was nothing on the account that would not allow email to be sent.
There is absolutely no difference between on the 1and1 version of the site and the godaddy version. The plugins, themes, and everything else are exactly the same.
