with the Wordpress managed hosting you no longer go through the account manager but are redirected to gateway. There you can go to settings and login to phpadmin. But no hostname is apparent. The only one I have found is listed inside system variables once you are in phpmyadmin. And it doesn't look at all like what the tech support guy inserted, namely 'db_user.db.(last 7 digits of db_user).hostsource.com'
no reference for that nomenclature that I can find anywhere on Godaddy. Drilled into every window in phpmyAdmin and found nothing relating to convention. all godaddy documentation just reads,
"Database Host — Enter your database's Host Name."
So this is easy if you are on a shared hosting site that is NOT Wordpress Managed. They give you the hostname with the user and password in the cpanel. But with WPManaged on GoDaddy they just display phpadmin url; user id; password. So you are left without a host name anywhere. Tried my phpadmin url but that appears to be wrong.
