GoDaddy is well known as a slow host; search these forums for "godaddy" and read what people think.
I use a 50 Mbps home broadband. It's the same situation on my 3G connection.
Your own connection and ISP speed means nothing in this case. Run speed tests from a third party site, like pingdom or GTMetrix.
