I need to vent -- but I'll make it short!
Managing a Wordpress site -- hosted in GoDaddy. Both Wordfence and UpDraftPlus had been working great when I was building the site. Now that the site has gone live there are issues! Three headliners…
GoDaddy -- shared hosting, no help for Wordpress users.
Wordfence -- last update with Firewall function, will not allow completion and shows a /var/chroot/home/content/protect.php issue. The site has a File Manager, no cPanel. I cannot locate a public_html link, etc., etc. etc.
UpDraftPlus -- will not complete backups to Dropbox account, just dumps them into back end of website. GoDaddy is not reporting any log errors. Suggests I manually move files from GoDaddy to my computer, and then to DropBox -- UpdraftPlus continues to hold GoDaddy responsible.
Done wrestling -- can anyone suggest solid solutions!? I'd like to move site to another host, but client does not want to at this point-- but if it is the only real solution, I'll move it in a heart beat!
Happy evening to all!
