leighflo on "Crashing due to paths?"

I installed multisite about a year ago. Only have one site in it. I have it at the root of my godaddy Linux shared server space on a designated domain (eg http://www.gdbasedomain.com). About 3 months ago the blog kept crashing when in editor. By doing save, edit, save, edit, save (it then crashes). I can recreate this by usually doing this process. Although it can crash on less.

The error message in the logfiles is:

[Mon Jan 20 11:41:33 2014] [number] [core:error] [client x] AH00124: Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use 'LimitInternalRecursion' to increase the limit if necessary. Use 'LogLevel debug' to get a backtrace.

I have tried everything to fix this. I am with godaddy and at first they said it was a virus in my comments spam now saying it is a wordpress issue so they can't help me.

What i do know is if i export the blog out of multisite into a single site in a folder off of my base domain and change all the image paths (by updating content field in wp_posts from

"/wp-content/...etc

the problem stops.

Can anyone offer me any insight into what suddenly started causing this. The site has thousands of images in it.
