It sounds like whomever did your migration at GoDaddy failed to actually move the database, so WordPress was still directed to the database on the old account. When the old account was shut down, so was the database.
Were you keeping your own backups?
If not, it sounds like getting back in touch with Godaddy, explaining the above, and imploring them to correct their own mistake will be the only way out of this.
